Science, nature and human history are pulled together and brought to life at the Science Museum of Minnesota, through exhibits like Mississippi River and the Human Body Gallery. Displays at the museum range from high-tech multi-sensory educational interfaces to traditional-style dioramas, and its Omnitheater shows large-scale documentary films on different facets of natural and human history. Even games like the outdoor 9-hole mini golf course have an educational focus, mingling learning with entertainment in unique and intriguing ways. The museum is set next to the Mississippi River, just south of Xcel Energy Center and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.
